"Only Metallica and Iron Maiden should do encores. We're not going to go off and wait for you to clap and come back on again, we'll just do the last song now." ~ Ian Watkins(of lostprophets) Hello there. Welcome to my #010101101 blog. Feel free to look round or just click the back button if this page was not what you were looking for ;) This blog has technically been a part of me since 2003, so it does contain a LOT of history. Some of it stuff I would rather forget. But hey, once words are written down, you really can't change them. I was about 13 when I started writing in this, and if you read the archives you can kinda tell..lol. I know the archives ARE messy but I can't do anything about that...so we'll have to deal. But anyhow, it brings back a lot of nostalgia. You never know how good you have it until you suddenly get all old and look back like 'was that really me?!'. I think it's crazy. Time goes SO FAST. It's like - when you're young you wish you were older. But once you actually get to a certain age you're all like - I wish I was young again. How totally insane. Well enjoy the site, I'll have more stuff up soon, once I figure out how to use Dreamweaver properly(I think I prefer Frontpage now I've gotten the hang of it... MUSIC

Not only for the atmosphere and the experience...but omg am I looking forward to Rage. I neevr thought I'd be this hyped but after seeing footage from the Auckland one last night, Im so pumped. Its totally gunna go off when Killing in the Name is played. Man. I CANT WAIT. Other than Rage...I dunno. I might check out Arcade Fire and definitely Karnivool and maybe Silverchair. I reckon Ill stay in the main mosh til Rage only coz Im scared theyll not let us in (though last year at Tool it was realllyl easy) but I realy dont want to watch Bjork. And Im a bit meh bout Silverchair. But hey. Whatever. SO CAN'T WAIT. RAGE. HELL YEAH. Anyway xD I went for breakfast today with Monique and Diana at Dome at Scarborough. It was pretty cool, but I ended up sleeping in, and the pancakes were in this weird toffee/golden syrum saue which made it taste weird. Seriously it was DRENCHED in it. But it was cool. We walked around for a bit, sat down everywhere and eventually ended up going to the beach for a swim after Diana went home. The beach was reallly nice even if it was a bit cold. It was only bout 31 today but I actually did get sunburnt on the top and back. Ugh x.x But yeah. The water was really flat in the morning((=it got kinda rough later on coz of the wind) but we bascially stayed til round 3ish.
Well probably go again next week coz its Aussie day so hopefully itll be hot.
And further proof American news is full of BS propaganda... HAHAHA. HAHA. HA. This clip is just totally hilarious. No wonder so many people hate the RIAA. And no wonder so many people keep downloading shit. xD
Internet Game. :P Well I was bored. So I was surfing whirlpool.com.au and did this game to make up a random album cover for a random band. Here's what you do:
1 - Go to wikipedia.
2 - Go to Random quotations:
3 - Go to flickr and click on “explore the last seven days” 4 - Use photoshop or similar to mix it all up. Host it somewhere and post it here.
So here's mine:
I love how they both fit so well together. xD
So its been about a year since we left highschool... ...Or more like a year and a few months. And how thing shave changed. It's weird looking back and seeing where everone's at now, and what everyone is doing. I mean I just can't believe more than a year has gone by and that we're finally "free" of the routineness and constrictions of school as such. The weirdest thing though is seeing exactly where you are in life, and seeing what lies ahead...and it just got me thinking today about where abouts I was going to go after uni, and what I wanted to do. Mainly coz I went out to the movies today with Simone and saw American Gangster, which is like a three hour long movie about this black gang in New York smuggling heroin during the Vietnam war. I thought it was pretty good - very Godfatherish, as there was one scene which reminded me of it; when he shot this guy in the middle of the street in front of everyone. It was a slow burner though and it was pretty complicated especially at the start. Anyway, we were talking after about jobs and work and stuff and it seems we still have no clue about what we want to do in a few years from now. And to be honest that IS kind of scary when you think about it. I mean this is like choosing your chosen career path for a good portion of your life, and if you make the wrong decision well its kinda like sucks to be you. And there's so many opportunities out here in Perth at the moment its overwhelming at times. My jobs at IGA and IKEA are going ok I spose, but when I start uni it'll probably be a different story. I don't know how Im going to cope iwth two jobs - especially since in part time instead of casual like I usually am. I just can't wait til we move to the new store at IKEA, because the old store sucks ass. I can't believe that the people there have survived for as long as a few years, because the place is just so confined and SMALL. I wasn't even going to work in the restaurant at IKEA and I almost nearly couldn't be bothered applying after all the bother(believe me, IKEA's recruitment could do with a few pointers here and there...) but yeah, it should be a good experience. I hope it's worth it anyway. Because I really do want to do something different. I'm just kind of over the customer service thing, especially with food. I know I have a Hospitality certificate but seriously, fast food sucks. People should only do it for the experience, thats what I think, because it's just really blah working conditions and cleaning, or stocking, or serving or whatever. But yeah. I like trying new things. That's why I keep switching jobs....coz I can. :) So, ANYWAY I've done a bit of online shopping on eBay..and can I say from a newbie experience it's been a positive and negative thing for me. Okay so we'll start with the positives. I suppose it IS pretty easy to sign up and start biding on whatever, and it is easy to send money and stuff through paypal. What I don't like, is the fact that the sellers are allowed such long periods of time to ship the item, and that they are allowed to flog off whatever they want at inflated shipping prices. I bid on this Broken Iris CD(yeah..iTunes is definitely my last resort. Or paying on their store through their site...) and the seller still hasn't accepted payment. I mean why the hell would you put something up for sale if you're not gunna be online to just go through with it!?!?!? It just beats me. I also won this dredg promo CD which I AM excited about, mainly because it's pretty rare(apparently...HA!) and you can't buy it at shops. And I also am buying this dredg poster in a day or so XD So yeah. But I think after this I'll be done with eBay. Amazon.com >Ebay fo' sho. At least with Amazon we get confirmation and assurance that everything is 100% legit. Dunno bout the marketplace there though....could be a different story:P I still can't get over how sucky the shipping is though, to Australia. I mean I can understand that it could take a while since there's customs and shit but wow, a month waiting. Geez....i just wish someone would invent like an instant teleporter or something!! Man that would TOTALLY REVOLUTIONIZE the trading market. Oh yeah I got my gelaskins though, and they look awesome. I'm really happy with my macbook one - it just looks SO AWESOME. And I'm SO HAPPY that I've covered up that tacky apple backlight on the screen. Plus, I don't reallly want to advertise for Apple...I mean I love the macbook. But honestly, I just hate the fact they keep 'updating' their products to get people to buy more and more and more and more. Like with the ipods. I got an ipod video last year - and this year they come out with ipod classics. I mean seriously, when I got my ipod it was fairly new - only its outdated about 6 months later. Great. THANKS APPLE. I wonder what they'll update next - scratch proof metal cases? I'd totally buy that.;) Oh yeahhh and I also have to blog about my trip to Mandurah last week. I don't think I have written about it at ALL. Well to be honest there really is nothing to talk about except for the fact that Mandurah is bascially now one big country suburb. Seriously. We got there and it was like 'okayyy so what do we do now'. I went with Matt and his friend David, and his friend whose name I can't spell so we'll leave it as 'his friend'. Sorry:P We had fish and chips. And I feel really bad coz I wasted like a whole piece of fish I couldn't eat(they gave me 3 pieces!). And then we checked out the movie place on the boardwalk, and decided NOT to see I am legend, purely because it just looks lame and a total rip off of Dawn of the Dead and 28 Days Later. BUT we did try out one of those vending machine games...you might've seen them at Timezone. You like enter a coin and get a chance to win these hanging prizes from a keychain to a ipod and phone or mp3 player. So we put in a dollar and tried our luck. I think these machines are a complete con job by the way. First of all - they don't even give decent instructions, so basically you have ot figure out what to do on your first go and if you stuff up well then ENTER ANOTHER DOLLAR TO CONTINUE. Well on the instructions it said to get a 3x3 square - so we did. And then we realize that you have to stack the squares all the way to the top to win the prize. But by this time the squares have gone all over the place and we put in another dollar. Anyway this was hilarious. We all were laughing because we were about to get the major prize....and lost. Yeah. We wasted three whole dollars. Anyway we basically went to Mandurah - had lunch, then went back. It was interesting:P Then we looked at the apple store and drooled over the HUGE mac screen on display...seriously it just looks so awesome. And I had a look at the Macbook Pro and it does look specky...makes this white macbook look like cheap plastic. Haha. But I can say the black macbok definitely looks better. Anyway, this weekends been pretty boring. I was sick on Thursday and Friday so I stayed home from work so Ive been bumming round quite a bit. I really need to get into the habit of waking up early and sticking to the alarm on my alarm clock though!!! I never seem to hear or care about the alarm that goes off so I ALWAYS have to be woken up by my mum xD Ugh. That means I should probably sleep now, since its 12 and I have work tomorrow at 9:( I've rambled a bit now haven't I? I know my rants have gone all over the place but I'm tired...and bored.
Goodnight.
Frontpage > Dreamweaver So I've been messing around on Photoshop and Dreamweaver on my Mac, and I can honestly say Frontpage is like 10000x more user friendly than Dreamweaver. And I'm sure that Dreamweaver does have its upsides in that it sorts out your CSS and tags for you, but seriously. Frontpage is bascially like a huge big shortcut for lazy-asses like me.:P I know this layout isn't exactly the best but I was just experimenting with stuff in photoshop, namely trying to create realistic smoke. And I have gotten the hang of it, only i didn't really use it much in the header in this. Anyway I really need sleep. It's nearly 1am and I didn't even realize lol. More on updation later...
